8 Healthy Team Snacks for Kids

When it’s your turn to bring the cooler to the park so your team of players can refuel after the game here’s a list of snacks you can confidently serve that will also please their picky taste buds. I’ll also share tips for transporting and storing team snacks so they stay cool and safe to eat after the game.

If you need to keep your post-game snacks refrigerated for food safety reasons or because they just taste better cold bring them to the game in a cooler filled with frozen gel packs or ice in zip-lock bags. Leaving food in a hot car or sitting in bleacher seats in the sun can breed foodborne illness bacteria. No snack is worth an upset stomach. Keep everything refrigerated to be safe.

Be sure to cover each tray of snacks with plastic wrap to prevent moisture from condensation or melted ice. Keep any drinks you might be serving in a separate cooler as lots of little hands will want to reach for a bottle.
