US Cheapest Wine Recommendations: Trader Joe's Charles Shaw AKA Two Buck Chuck

Just Recipes / Adobe Stock

I love wine and I love ALDI so I was very excited when I heard that ALDI was releasing a new collection of wines the California Heritage Collection. The line consists of eight different varietals/styles of wine: two white (Chardonnay and Moscato) two sparkling (Brut Sparkling and Extra Dry Sparkling) four red (Merlot Cabernet Sauvignon Pinot Noir and Sweet Red) and one pink (Pink Moscato).

Each wine is priced at $4.95 an affordable price point that rivals Trader Joe’s Charles Shaw wines (formerly known as “two-buck Chuck” and now more commonly referred to as “four-buck Chuck”). While ALDI’s new wines are about a dollar more expensive the line offers quite a bit more options than TJ’s budget wines. It’s also a step up from ALDI’s extremely affordable Winking Owl wines.
