I’m not sure how bad it is to admit but this was my first time visiting Firehouse Subs. I enjoy Jersey Mike’s every now and then (or Mike’s Way when I’m craving it) and my favorite store growing up was named after public transportation rather than a place to park emergency vehicles. So I was understandably willing to try almost anything on the menu at this hot sub hotspot when I was given the challenge.
The top two subs while not rave-worthy are items I would order again if Firehouse was the stop on a road trip or other excursion. Not only did the winner stand head and shoulders above the rest for me but a little internet research revealed that many Firehouse fans agree: the sandwich topped both lists I looked at.
