We are in Berlin now and are about to go out for dinner… we have walked about a million miles and it feels good to sit down and rest. Here are some snaps from our first night in London at Nopi… Ottolenghi’s newest restaurant. A big thank you to all the readers who left a comment recommending it!

Jack started with a bourbon sour (pictured above). I had wine but if I had been slightly less jetlagged I would have had a cocktail called The Saffron Chase (gin elderflower liqueur lemon juice saffron syrup and champagne). I still kind of regret not trying it…
I absolutely loved the decor especially the gold accents and the shiny subway tiles (if you see pictures of my kitchen you'll understand how much I love subway tiles).
For our meal we shared eggplant with feta and pomegranate (the dish featured on the cover of the book Plenty) pea and broad bean fritters with cardamom yoghurt (which didn't photograph well but tasted delicious)… portobello mushroom farro with leek (probably our favourite) cod with sweetcorn puree and roasted beets.
