Installing the HP Envy optical drive

Oh my goodness… HP went to great lengths to install an optical drive in my TE01-2250xt, which was the cheapest model I could order at the time of purchase. This requires specialized parts that are hard to find and expensive to purchase, and the end result is poor. Please don't follow in my footsteps.
