'Instant karma': Robert De Niro stripped of leadership award after Trump outburst

Actor Robert De Niro has reportedly been stripped of his leadership award following his outburst about Donald Trump in a Manhattan courtroom.

Days before the verdict, De Niro said people could “say goodbye to freedoms” if the former president won the next election.

The actor was set to receive the 2024 Service of Leadership Award at the National Association of Broadcasters Leadership Foundation's Service to America Awards celebration.

According to the Huffington Post, his invitation to the ceremony has now been canceled.
