In iOS 16, Apple finally introduced the ability to unsend iMessages. This is a very welcome feature, but you need to make sure both the sender and recipient are using iOS 16.
You can only unsend a message within the first 15 minutes of sending it. To do this, simply go to your unsent message, and long press on it. Select Unsend and you're good to go!
Just keep in mind the two caveats: 1. you only have a 15 minute window to unsend your message and 2. If the recipient is using older versions of iOS, they will be able to still see the old post. You will receive a system notification about this when you cancel sending a message.
