Secure your Instagram app with the Lock feature, which comes with iOS 18 and later updates. Additionally, we will see how to hide the app on the home screen. Hey, my name is Karly. Let's see how to do it.
First, go to your iPhone home screen, search for the Instagram app. Long press the app icon to see the Require Face ID option.
Now the next option is Require Face ID. Tap Require Face ID. If you have an iPhone Touch ID, select the Require Touch ID option.
Verify with your Face or Touch ID to use the Instagram app.
For added security, we can use the Lock and Hide app on the iPhone home screen.
Then the app will hide from the home screen, let's do that.
First, remove Instagrem app lock if it is enabled.
Tap and hold the app icon and tap the Don't require Face ID option.
Verify with Face ID and that's it.
Now the Instagram app can be accessed normally, to hide and lock, touch and hold on the Instagram app.
Long press the app icon, select Require Face ID.
In the next pop-up option, select Hide and require Face ID.
Verify with Face ID and see the Hide app on screen option.
Now this app's icon and name will be obscure on the home screen and will be an obscure folder for hidden apps in the App Library.
Tap on the Hide app. Now the app is removed from the home screen and launched in the hidden folder of the App Library.
Now scroll down and tap Hidden. check with Face ID, Touch ID or Passcode to access the app in the hidden folder.
That's it.
To view and remove the app from the hidden folder, long press the app icon and select Don't require Face ID.
Now the app can be accessed without locking. and appear in the Application Library folder.
Press and hold the app icon to move the app icon to the home screen.
Tap Add to Home Screen. That's it.
