Apple's iOS 18 Beta 2 is expected to improve text communication between iOS and Android users by adding the Rich Communication Services setting, a messaging protocol called RCS.
The next generation of text messaging features allows users to send and receive messages, voice and video calls, and multimedia files in real time.
By default, this new toggle is disabled, so you need to enable it to access it.

Open the settings app to access the new tab.
Now scroll down to the end to click on the Apps setting.
This is a new setting in iOS 18; Now scroll down to tap Messages.
On this screen you can find RCS messaging and MMS messaging options in the TEXT MESSAGING section.
so please turn the green button next to RCS messaging.
And that's all.
If your phone does not display the RCS messaging option, it means that your carrier does not currently provide RCS service or you live outside the United States.
In another case, you can contact your operators and get help from them.

Now, back to the point,
Open the messages app and search for a contact for an Android phone. Now open the text box in the message app so you can see that typing indicators and read receipts between Android and iPhone is pretty cool after years without it.
For this feature, if your operators cannot run reliable RCS servers, then RCS functionality is compromised.
Disabled the RCS toggle. and force close the messages app, now enabled RCS toggle again. I hope this has started working. sometimes it starts suddenly after 2-4 hours.
