Cool accessibility features added for Apple Music lovers

Today I discussed the new haptic features in Apple Music. After installing iOS 18, it is initially disabled by default.

What is Apple Music Haptic?

Enhance your listening experience with haptic feedback while listening to music.

Music Haptics offers a new way for people who are deaf or hard of hearing to enjoy music on an iPhone.

*****
How does Apple Musci Hapris work?

Music Haptics uses the Taptic Engine built into modern iPhones to deliver taps and vibrations in sync with the music being played.

*******
About musical haptics
Experience music like never before with refined taps, textures and vibrations synchronized with the audio of millions of songs.

Music Haptics plays with Apple Music, Music Classical, Shazam, and supported third-party apps when your iPhone is connected to Wi-Fi or mobile data.

Play Music Haptics on supported Apple and Beats wired headphones and wireless headphones.

*****
Music Haptics will automatically sync with the music as soon as it starts playing.

Once enabled, you can quickly start or stop Music Haptics in Control Center.

While a song is playing, you can also temporarily turn Music Haptics off and on in the playback controls on iOS.

***
Let me show you how to enable Apple Music haptics.

First, unlock your iPhone and open the Settings app.

Now go to Accessibility settings.

This setting allows you to personalize your iPhone to get the most out of it.

Scroll down to Music Tactics

if it doesn't appear on your settings page. Please close Settings and/or force restart your iPhone.

in my case I have musical hapites, so I tap on them.

So here is the brand new musical haptic settings screen,

what is written under the tab, when the available music hapics prove haptic feedback for supported songs.

Apple mentioned specific music supporting music haptics, but not all music.

When I click on the “learn more” link, you can find all the information about it.

now I go back and change the musical haptics to green.

Thus, an example of a reading tab appears.

Click on it. ohh, it feels like my phone is having a stroke. It's really strong. It's like normal vibration haptics, but amplified a bit.

I thought it would match the bass of the song but that's not the case at all.

Please write a comment below about how you feel after enabling music haptics on your iPhone.

So now browse your favorite song on Apple Music and listen to it to experience it.

in my experience this doesn't turn off Dolby Atmos, but yes it does drain the battery a bit.

Now back to the point.

You will see a list of available apps on the same screen. Only Apple Music appears in the list.

This means that in the future, third-party music app developers will also add the haptic feedback functionality using the API.

Currently, Music Haptics works on millions of songs in the Apple Music catalog and will be available as an API allowing developers to make music more accessible in their apps.

for example, Spotify, Pandora and many others.

Now, if Music Haptic is not working for you, there are a few steps you can take.

Force close the Settings app and all background apps, then try turning Apple Music haptic feedback on and off, as demonstrated in the video.

Make sure your iPhone is supported for the Msuic haptic feedback feature.

The next step is to force restart your iPhone.

Check for a new software update.

If an update is available, please install it first and try using Music Haptics again.
