Italian sausage and cabbage soup
The best thing about cold weather? It's the best excuse to make a big pot of soup or stew! This recipe is an Italian twist on our standby cabbage soup.
It is more of a stew than a soup. It uses savoy cabbage (you can also use Chinese cabbage) which is milder than regular cabbage Italian sausage white beans fresh parsley and Parmesan cheese.
I am so used to German cabbage treatments that I am surprised how well this stew is with the Italian sausage and Parmesan. Normally I don’t think of Parmesan and cabbage together but in this stew they really work.
