Italian Sausage Risotto | Jamie's Italy INVISIBLE
Sometimes I tell my dad a recipe and if it starts with the words "Italian sausage" I guess it doesn't matter what words follow as long as he's already sold it!
Recently we made this risotto recipe together (barely adapted from Bon Appetit). Dad took care of preparing the mushrooms and cooking the sausage while I sat on a stool stirring the risotto for half an hour while the rice slowly absorbed the broth cup by cup.
Making risotto requires patience it cannot be rushed. The rice will only absorb a certain amount of liquid at a time; it is the perfect "slow food".
