If you're not a DIY mechanic or don't really want to get into in-depth diagnostics, then this scan tool is overkill. Stick with the blue driver or Carista and you'll be fine. If you do your own repairs but always go to a shop because the simple scanner you have is incapable, then this is a good option for you.
