Lynchburg Lemonade Drink with Jack Daniels – Perfect Summertime Recipe

To mix an authentic Lynchburg Lemonade you only need four ingredients: a tall glass and some ice. The key ingredient is of course the famous Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey and this is by far one of the best drinks for it. There is something magical about the smoky sweetness of the whiskey in this sour sparkling mixed drink.

In addition to the whisky you’ll need the orange liqueur triple sec freshly squeezed lemon juice and lime soda plus lemon wedges for garnish. Once you’ve gathered your ingredients all that’s left to do is pour the whisky triple sec and lemon juice into a Collins glass (or other tall glass) add ice stir the soda and garnish. After one sip you’ll understand why it’s been a favorite for so long.

The Lynchburg Lemonade is a relatively mild drink. It averages around 8 percent ABV (16 proof) which is slightly lighter than a glass of wine. However this drink has been known to get people drunker than they expected. In addition to drinking too much whiskey the problem often stems from over-pouring the whiskey. To keep the drink under control balance the flavors and help prevent hangovers by sticking to the standard 1 1/2 ounce shot.
