I created this recipe after having a divine stewed greens at a great soul food restaurant in Kansas City. I wanted to recreate the flavor at home. This recipe is delicious with fresh greens or frozen or fresh green beans. Even picky eaters will devour these with their slightly smoky slightly sweet slightly spicy flavor. My family gobbles them up! Also try this recipe with 3-4 bunches of greens instead of green beans.
