Kamal Mouzawak is a writer and activist from Lebanon with a mission to bring people together through food. Kamal founded Lebanon’s first farmers market Souk El Tayeb in Beirut which has since grown into a collection of culinary and educational initiatives. Through his restaurants he employs dozens of women from across Lebanon to showcase dishes from their villages and in 2020 after the Beirut port explosion he founded a community kitchen that continues to serve 2500 meals a day to people in need. Kamal has also worked as a TV chef focusing on healthy meals a macrobiotic cooking teacher and a travel journalist.
