Luckily there was free wifi nearby so he could distract himself while I carefully went through every last copper pot ginger grater and little painted bowl… I'm speechless. Shop after shop full of stuff (good stuff). Pinch me.

If you’re going to Tokyo and you’re into kitchenware Kappabashi Street is a must-do. It’s about a 4-block street full of kitchenware stores many of which are commercial restaurant supply stores. I recommend checking out nearby Asakusa on the same day especially if you don’t think your fellow travelers will be as excited about kitchenware as you are. (Go there first so you don’t have to lug your purchases around all day.)
