I am in serious denial again. With what looks like the fourth storm to hit California this week (is Noah building his "arky arky" yet?) I am still trudging around the house in shorts and flip-flops dreaming of better times in warmer weather.
But there’s only so much denial you can do before the chilling reality hits and it’s time for stew. Lentil stew in this case.
My friend Clara and I were inspired today to make this hearty lentil stew in the middle of a downpour based on Clara's family recipe. It's made with bacon and sausage a mirepoix of onions carrots and celery and garnished with parsley.
