Magic eraser for everyone! Google's big mistake?!

Google's Magic Eraser is now available for all Android and iPhone devices if you use the Google Photos app and have a Google One subscription. Magic Eraser is a Pixel-exclusive feature that debuted on the Pixel 6 and Pixel 7, but now anyone who wants to use it can use Google's Magic Eraser without having to buy a Pixel phone, which I think would hurt customers. Google's Pixel phone plans and would make it even harder to convince people to buy a Pixel 8 this fall or the Pixel 7a this summer, or a Pixel 6 or Pixel 7 phone right now. With Google offering Magic Eraser to everyone, it's a bit like Apple giving Android users access to iMessage.
