Unlock your iPhone's hidden speech feature!

There's a little-known VoiceOver feature that lets your iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch speak audiobooks, web articles, emails, and more. Enabling it is easy, then just use a quick two-finger swipe gesture to open the reading reader.

Works great in iBooks, Mail, Safari and just about every other app. If you are using a web browser, try using reader mode if the browser has it, this way you will focus on the content and not the details.

If you just want a small selection of text read aloud to you, you may want to use the speech selection tool instead. This "talk to screen" feature is ideal when you have long articles, stories, books, etc. To listen.

Starting robot playback is simple, and you can even continue using your iOS device normally as long as you keep the player open or folded. So you can play games, take photos or anything at the same time.
