The holidays are that time of the year when everyone looks forward to having fun and spending quality time with their loved ones. But this is also the time when health takes a back seat amid all the traveling and eating. Whether you travel by bus, plane, train or car, leaving your home means abandoning your routine. Traveling can create many challenges in your daily routine due to unexpected weather changes, food changes, jet lag, and most importantly, lack of adequate rest. And if you're traveling with young children, it could add more stress and anxiety to both the mind and body.
According to a survey conducted by the American Psychologists Association, the following key findings were observed:
 During travel and vacations, people are much more likely to indulge in comfort eating.
 Women are particularly vulnerable to increased stress during the holiday season. It is women who shoulder the majority of the family burden of planning vacations and making travel arrangements necessary for the family.
 Fatigue is high on the list of negative emotions during vacation, along with stress.
