When you hear “Moscow Mule” many cocktail drinkers immediately picture a shiny copper mug filled to the brim with ice and surely think of vodka. Ginger ale and accompanying lime juice complete the drink.
The drink itself however is a refreshing subtly spicy cocktail (or not so subtly if you drink the piping hot ginger beer or ale version) with the ginger and lime juice to the fore and the vodka a little more in the background although its effects will eventually be noticeable.
