The launch of Modern Warfare 2 Season 1 brings brand new content with Warzone 2 and DMZ. A brand new Battle Pass has also debuted, and players can progress through the various tiers to unlock new rewards, including the BAS-P SMG and the XMR Sniper Rifle. Apart from the Battle Pass, players can also get the all-new assault rifle called the M13B.
The M13B is an assault rifle with a high rate of fire and low recoil, making it an exceptionally powerful weapon for close-to-medium range engagements. The gun itself can be used at range, but it is beaten by all other assault rifles in terms of range. However, the M13B has high maneuverability and mobility, making it a good weapon to use for running and shooting.
The M13B is a special case when it comes to unlocking weapons in Modern Warfare 2. Most weapons can be unlocked by leveling up or upgrading other weapons belonging to the same weapon platform. However, to unlock the M13B, you will first need to find it in the DMZ and then successfully extract it with the weapon in your inventory. The M13B is used by The Chemist, a hostile NPC found in the Al Mazrah radioactive zone.

The Radiation Zone is quite hard to miss, as it is constantly revealed on the map. Before heading there, make sure you have a gas mask because without one you will slowly lose health in this area. Gas Masks can be purchased from Buy Stations or looted from enemies in the Radioactive Zone.
The chemist is near the center of the radiation zone and can be identified by his unique yellow hazmat suit. All that's left to do is defeat the chemist, obtain the M13B blueprint he's carrying, locate the nearest extraction point, and exit the match. Once done successfully, you will have the M13B unlocked for all modes. Note that only one person in a single DMZ game can obtain the M13B this way, and if you can't find the Chemist in that area, you'll have to try again in another game.

If you're looking to bypass this method completely, all you need is a friend who has the M13B in their inventory in the DMZ main menu. Just party with them and have them charge into a game of DMZ with the M13B. They can then drop the M13B for you, and you can then progress to the nearest extraction zone for extraction. Upon successful extraction of Al Mazrah, you will unlock the M13B for all modes. It is unclear whether this method is intended by the developers or not, and it may not work in future updates.
