RECALL ALERT: Frigidaire Soleus Air Kenmore and other dehumidifiers recalled due to fire hazard

Simply Recipes / U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission

I’m one of those people who obsessively checks to make sure the stove is off. Sometimes I leave the house and think Did I turn the stove off? I must have turned the stove off. And then it haunts me until I come home later and see that it is off. This all stems from the time my college roommate left the stove on all night with a pan of half-eaten tomato sauce on it. I woke up to a completely destroyed pan and a deep sense of gratitude that I was still alive.

So when the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a recall of stoves I took notice and looked to see what kind of stove I had. I suggest you do the same. Electrolux is recalling approximately 203000 electric stoves. The brands being recalled are Frigidaire and Kenmore and only the smooth-top electric freestanding stoves are affected.
