According to Food Safety News and the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) approximately 32820 jars of kimchi have been recalled in 10 states. This is due to high levels of yeast growth in the product.
The 14.1-ounce plastic jars of J-Baket brand Napa Kimchi have been recalled in the following states: Arizona Colorado Florida Georgia Hawaii Illinois Maryland New York Texas and Washington. According to the recall notice the affected products have a “best by” date of “10/26/24” or “12/19/24” and a printed UPC code of “0 11152 83000 1.”
