SUPER EASY BANANA PUDDING RECIPE WITH 4 INGREDIENTS! Cook With Me @SimplyChelle74

While I love burgers and potato salad the thing I look forward to most during the Fourth of July is my mom’s banana pudding. And I’m not alone: Every year her banana pudding is one of—if not the first—things eaten at community potlucks and barbecues. Luckily for all of us it doesn’t get any easier to make.

Her famous banana pudding recipe requires just four simple ingredients (one box of Nilla Wafer Cookies vanilla instant pudding mix three ripe bananas and a tub of Cool Whip) and only a handful of steps with no baking required. And when I say four ingredients I mean four. The package calls for milk and while you can use milk to make the pudding creamier my mom taught me that water works too: It’s the cornstarch in the mix that thickens it so it curdles when mixed with liquid.

This no-bake dessert has all the hallmarks of a great banana pudding: layers of sweet pudding topped with vanilla wafers and fresh bananas all in a convenient 9×13-inch baking dish. It’s the perfect accompaniment to any 4th of July celebration. And once you learn the basics of its four ingredients the options are endless. Add a dash of vanilla for a more complex flavor a dash of sweetened condensed milk to give the pudding an even more custardy flavor—the world is yours!
