Norwegian almond cake recipe
1 ⅔ cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
Beat the egg yolks and sugar in a saucepan over low heat or in a metal bowl over a pan of gently simmering water. Stir in the cream. Cook and stir until the mixture is very thick: a few droplets should be visible on the surface. Remove from the heat and stir in the butter until completely absorbed. Place a sheet of plastic wrap directly on the surface and refrigerate overnight.
