I'm going to show you how to make a quick and easy version of one of our all-time favorite recipes Chicken Sausage Peppers and Potatoes which uses the same ingredients that are oven roasted. I like to serve them on toast but they're also great with rice potatoes or pasta.

One-Pan Chicken Sausage Bell Peppers and Potatoes "Chisaupepo" – Food Wishes

One of my favorite things to do is take complicated labor-intensive restaurant dishes and make simplified much more approachable versions that any home cook can make. But sometimes like with this presentation “One-Pan Chicken Sausage Peppers and Potatoes” we take an already simple and easy recipe and make it even simpler. Don’t worry; you can still call it “chisaupepo.”

As you may know the original version was made with the same ingredients in a large Dutch oven and it’s one of the most popular dishes we’ve ever posted and one of our most shared recipe photos on social media. It’s not a Dutch Baby but it’s there. So if it’s simple easy and popular why change the recipe? Because it’s hot and no one wants to turn on the oven.

In addition to keeping the ambient temperature low this stovetop version is faster and allows us to simply make a few batches when that chisaupepo craving strikes. Like the larger oven-baked version this is a great container for seasonal veggies meaning your chisaupepo can easily become a mushchisaupepo or a zucchisaupepo. Whatever you add I really hope you give this easy one-pot chicken sausage peppers and potatoes a try soon.
