Paralympic athlete Steve Serio wants to help people 'achieve their impossible goal'
The Summer Paralympics begin next week in Paris and run from August 28 to September 8. Some 4400 athletes are expected to participate this year. The games will feature competitions such as blind football paracycling and wheelchair basketball.
Paralympian Steve Serio is an award-winning wheelchair basketball athlete. In his four Paralympic appearances he has won two gold medals and one bronze. Serio has also won five World Championship medals including a gold in 2022. In 2017 he was honored at the ESPYs winning the award for Outstanding Male Athlete with a Disability. As he heads to Paris this month for the 2024 Paralympic Games we asked him about his morning routine his favorite part of training and how he’s feeling about his final season.
