This is a German recipe for gingerbread cookies that look like gingerbread and was given to me by my mother Sabine Muller. I have been making them for over 20 years. I looked online for other recipes for Pfefferkuchen and none were quite like this one. I thought I would share it with you. The literal translation is "gingerbread cookies". I always glaze them with lemon glaze.
