I'm Heidi – This site celebrates cooking and aims to help you incorporate the power of lots of vegetables and whole foods into your daily meals. The recipes you'll find here are vegetarian often vegan and written with the home cook in mind. This site has been my online "home base" for almost twenty years. I didn’t take many photos during my recent trip to Tokyo – 100 or so? As I flipped through them on the return flight it was clear that a large percentage of the view from our hotel room was thirty stories above Ginza. After spending a week in the air I understood why anyone would want to live in a skyscraper something I had never considered before. The huge windows framed the skyline and cityscape and the colors reflections and moods changed by the minute depending on the weather time of day and how the light was developing. I wanted to share a few snapshots today as well as one of my favorite things to eat in Tokyo. Sipping is actually the better verb. It’s something so simple that it doesn’t need a recipe but I suspect few of you enjoyed it – Soba Yu.
