Pixel Watch 2 with specific health needs: heart rate, ECG, SPO2, sleep tracking and what I think
I pick up a Pixel Watch 2 for some specific health needs like heart rate, EKG/ECG, SP02, and sleep data. What do I think about it.
The heart rate monitor is continuous and is something I look for to keep my heart rate at a normal speed. The ECG is approved by the Ministry of Health to track my irregular heartbeats, if any. SPo2 to track my blood oxygen and sleep date to see how I sleep.
Other elements are beneficial, but not very important.
Benefits:
Very nice look, smooth transition
Exercise – Need to keep track of my daily movements
Heart rate – is accurate, allows me to monitor when I'm resting or moving. watch for a sudden increase out of anxiety or for no reason.
ECG – it's keeping a monitor of my heart away. Let me know if you have an irregular heartbeat and seek medical attention if necessary.
GPS – not very important to me, but it is very accurate on my walking route.
SPo2 – it is important to track my blood oxygen in order to monitor how my restrictive lungs are functioning. (this feature is also a drawback on this watch)
Very well integrated with Android, because it is Android Ware OS.
The inconvenients:
SPo2 – Important feature I need, but this only does nightly average, can't check oxygen level on demand. This feature is very important to me who suffers from restrictive lungs.
Battery – 24 hours, impossible to last even 1 day. I did a 2.5 hour workout and slept with it last night to keep up with my oxygen. Most permanent features were already disabled. Big scam.
Conclusion:
The watch works great, accurate with many sensors and health monitors, GPS, ECG, sleep data and more, but the lack of on-demand SPo2 and poor battery life are a drag. I wish the battery was better and OnDemand SPo2 is ideal and it would be perfect for what I need.
