Play PS5 Games on a PS4 with Share Play (It Sucks)

The new PlayStation 5 consoles are still nowhere to be found, but that doesn't mean you can't play PS5 games like Returnal and Ratchet & Clank. You just need a PlayStation 4. And a friend… with a PS5. Oh, yeah, and you'll both need a PS Plus subscription. And a little patience. Okay, it's not exactly child's play, but it's possible, thanks to the recently expanded functionality of PlayStation's Share Play feature. “Share Play,” first introduced on PlayStation 4 in 2014, essentially lets you transfer a game from your PlayStation to a friend's PlayStation. Your friend can then watch you play, take control of the controller, or join a multiplayer session, even if they don't own a copy of that particular game. There were some limitations at launch, like suboptimal streaming resolutions and 60-minute session limits, but the general reaction was, "Okay, pretty cool."
