Finding the best iced coffee in the supermarket

To qualify as an iced coffee we simply chose coffee drinks that are enjoyed over ice. This can be cold brew or iced coffee as long as it’s served cold and doesn’t require heating or brewing. Some of the options on our list are ready to drink straight from the bottle while others require a quick dilution with water and your favorite milk. We’ve happily (and happily) tasted each of the coffees on our list to rank our favorites from worst to first. If you’re looking for a new morning coffee or are just a big fan of iced coffee you’ve come to the right place. Read on to discover our number one iced coffee.

Stok is a cold brew company whose drinks are brewed with Rainforest Alliance Certified Coffee. The flavor offering is extensive and can be a bit confusing but the company explains that you can choose from different roast levels to fine-tune the flavor and caffeine content you’re looking for. The company offers Bright & Mellow black cold brew coffee and Extra Bold in unsweetened and sweetened varieties along with an espresso blend (the strongest) and cappuccino blend (with a bit of milk for creaminess). The newer flavor options promote espresso and cappuccino names which is confusing since these are cold brews and are typically served hot.

The coffee itself wasn’t our favorite as it had a cloudy flavor that wasn’t as smooth as we’d hoped. When we tasted the company’s classic black unsweetened cold brew we really wanted to add milk or something else to enhance the flavor. If you like your coffee to be a little less strong or are looking for the most affordable cold brew option this might be the one for you. We’ll stick with some of our other iced coffee options but chances are Stok has something you’ll like.
