A quick and easy Middle Eastern/Mediterranean hit. I have seen both little Jewish grandmothers in Jerusalem and Bedouin women making these cookies in the middle of the desert. A wonderfully simple recipe that is not too sweet yet very versatile and quick. Enjoy.
