When I was little my mom would cook oatmeal on the stove with lots of honey and milk which felt like a dessert for breakfast. These days I play around with all sorts of oatmeal meals from baked oatmeal to savory oatmeal with kimchi and spinach… you name it I've tried it and probably loved it. I love a good bowl of oatmeal it's such a great fiber-rich and versatile base to start the day.
When I recently went to the store to restock my oatmeal I realized that for years I had been reaching for the quick-cook option without even thinking about instant oatmeal. This led me to a further realization that I didn’t know the difference between the two. So I set out to learn and this is what I found.
