Slider Buns – Homemade Slider Buns from Scratch
These soft and delicious little buns are perfect for sliders and small burgers. They also make delicious snacks and fun sandwiches for a light lunch or dinner. Make them into little burgers or fill them with seafood salad shredded beef pulled pork or chicken.
The mini buns can be made by hand with your stand mixer or in a bread machine. The recipe yields approximately 24 to 26 ounces of dough which you can divide as desired. When divided into 18 pieces they are perfect for 2-ounce burgers or meatloaf sliders. For smaller entrees sandwiches and burgers make 24 rolls using 1 ounce of dough each.
Brush the rolls with an egg wash before baking for a firmer and shinier top. You can also sprinkle them with sesame seeds or poppy seeds for a finishing touch. If you'd rather skip these steps brush the tops with melted butter after baking while they're still warm to give the slider buns a little color.
