Mascarpone is a creamy cheese. Use this substitute for mascarpone if it is hard to find or expensive. I have used this recipe in several Tiramisu cakes.

Substitute for Mascarpone Cheese
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese softened
2 tablespoons butter softened
In a medium bowl mix the heavy cream cream cheese and butter until well blended.
