They may not be health conscious but almost everything tastes better when it’s fried including scallops. The deep fryer is an excellent way to prepare scallops and it takes away some of the fear you might feel if cooking scallops seems intimidating. After all they’re not the cheapest seafood you can buy so the fear of ruining them is normal. Scallops are juicy and luckily they’re especially delicious when they’re fried.

Easy Fried Scallops Recipe
These fried scallops are first dipped in a seasoned flour mixture then in egg batter and dry breadcrumbs. It’s a messy process but not difficult. Once you’ve made them you can drain them on a baking sheet lined with paper towels. They’re best eaten the day you make them.
Don't place the scallops too close together in the pan. If you place them too close together the oil will cool down considerably and the breadcrumb layer will absorb more oil.
“Baked sea scallops are a real treat and easy to prepare with this simple method. Make sure to bread all the scallops before frying and the rest is easy. A quick homemade tartar sauce is delicious with this dish.” —Joan Velush
