This method involves quickly stir-frying vegetables to get some color then steaming them until they’re tender. Steaming uses less oil than a regular stir-fry but the vegetables still cook quickly.

The vegetables also brown a little from the stir-frying and get some flavor from the liquid used for steaming making them more exciting than regular steamed vegetables.
