I'm Heidi – This site celebrates cooking and aims to help you incorporate the power of lots of vegetables and whole foods into your daily meals. The recipes you'll find here are vegetarian often vegan and written with the home cook in mind. This site has been my online "home base" for almost twenty years. When I was shopping for holiday gifts this year I fell into a bit of a trap. The “one for you one for me” trap. Some of you may be familiar with it? Phaidon’s enormous Coco book surprised me. I thought it would be too restaurant-centric for my tastes full of recipes that wouldn’t mesh with my everyday cooking. But there I was leafing through it raving about many of the chefs featured in its 400+ pages – Mona Talbott Skye Gyngell and Amaryll Schwertner to name a few. And I actually cooked from it.
