Super easy cherry crumble

As a child I ate a lot of cobblers in the summer when I visited my grandparents. We would spend days picking ripe fruit from the bushes that grew wild in the hills around their house and bring it home for Grandma to make into cobbler. I think it was my Grandma’s favorite dessert because on a hot day it’s just easier and quicker to make than pie—no need to chill the dough!
Just like my grandma I love cobbler in the summer because it satisfies the craving for dessert with a bubbling fruit filling and buttery biscuity topping. While I sadly don’t have my grandma’s recipe I love making this cobbler with summer cherries because they’re definitely the fruit in season that I look forward to the most. I scoop up as many as I can when they’re in the market.
