Homemade rosehip jam from wild rosehips
In the summer when the beach rose bushes are full of brightly colored rose hips rose hip jam is one of my favorite things to make.
My young friends prefer rosehip jelly but I prefer jam.
It’s best to make it on a cloudy or otherwise beach-unfriendly day as it takes time. To make the jam you’ll need to prepare the hips and cut each one open to remove the itchy sticky seeds that you don’t want in your jam.
