Salmon Avocado Poke Bowl | EatingWell
The first time I ate raw fish was when I was about ten or eleven years old. I was at a Japanese buffet and my mother told me to only eat the expensive dishes so we would get value for money which meant seafood and sashimi. Of course I didn't like raw fish that much but as a dutiful daughter I followed her advice.
It wasn't until I started eating poke bowls a few years ago that I became interested in raw fish dishes!
A poke bowl (pronounced po-kay!) is a Hawaiian dish of diced fresh fish served over rice with a variety of extras such as avocado radishes and cucumber.
