This is a delicious recipe for sausage and barley soup with lots of texture and flavour. It’s a welcome change for those weeks when there doesn’t seem to be much variety… and all three of my kids loved it. This can also be cooked in a pot on the stovetop until the barley and carrots are tender but I prefer the slow cooker method. The flavours seem to blend better.
