We had such a great time in Seattle this past week. Thanks to everyone who left recommendations – we went to as many as we could!! These are just a few of our highlights. This is by no means a complete list just the places we happened to visit in the short 3 days we were there.

This Seattle Couple Turned Lemons Into Lemonade With A Fruit-Themed Wedding – KING 5 Evening

Straight from the airport we had late night sushi at Maneki. Great sashimi & sake (plus it was close to our hotel and open until 10:30pm). The next morning we had brunch at Macrina. Jack had a fried egg sandwich with spicy tomato sauce I had the salmon egg bialy. The pastries all looked tempting but we were way too full.

That night we had cocktails at Percy's and ate outside at Bastille. The weather was perfect and so was their patio. The best dishes were the niçoise socca and the chanterelles. We had no idea but the most amazing local chanterelles are in season in Seattle for a while in September. You'll find us ordering them with almost every meal. We couldn't get enough of them.

The next afternoon we met up with the lovely Jenn from Scout blog at the Fat Hen. And yes we had more chanterelles – I had the chanterelle benedict and Jack had the homemade ricotta (& chanterelle) sandwich on a perfectly soft crusty baguette. We spent the afternoon walking along the water and enjoying the (not 100 degree) weather. We had dinner at Nishiro. Our favorites were the tuna tartare with ginger salsa and taro chips and the shiso shrimp dumplings.
