I first became aware of the idea that food affects your menstrual cycle through the book WomanCode by Alisa Vitti which (among other wonderfully helpful things) promotes eating certain foods at certain times of your cycle to improve your hormonal health. Sign me up.

A simple application of this concept is seed cycling where specific seeds are added to your diet at different points in the cycle to optimize your hormonal health.
