If you forget your Wi-Fi network password, you can find it again if another Windows computer is already connected to your Wi-Fi network. Once you find the password, you can use it on a computer. or another device to connect to your Wi-Fi network.
On a Windows PC connected to your Wi-Fi network, do one of the following, depending on the version of Windows running on your PC:
In Windows 10, select the Start button and select Settings – Network & Internet – Status – Network and Sharing Center.
In Windows 8.1 or 7, search for Network, then select Network and Sharing Center from the list of results.

In the Network and Sharing Center, next to Connection, select the name of your Wi-Fi network.
Under Wi-Fi Status, select Wireless Properties.
In the wireless network properties, select the Security tab, and then check the Show characters box.
Your Wi-Fi network password appears in the Network Security Lock box.
On another Windows computer or device, connect to the Wi-Fi network as usual and enter your Wi-Fi password when prompted. For more information on connecting to Wi-Fi on a Windows 10 computer.
