My Singaporean friend was surprised when he saw the dish on the menu of a Chinese restaurant here in the United States and couldn't imagine where it came from.
So let’s dismiss any notion that Singaporean noodles are an authentic Asian dish. Many take credit for the invention but most believe that these stir-fried noodles were actually created in Chinese-American restaurants by Chinese immigrants who brought elements such as rice noodles from their home country.
