Just hearing the words "sloppy joes" from my mother sent shivers down our spines as kids. There was something wonderfully fun about eating a burger/sandwich that was inherently messy.
I first posted this recipe years ago after making it for my visiting nephew. Sloppy Joes are such a typical childhood dish right?
After my nephew explained to me that he didn't like tomatoes on his hamburger and that he wanted his onions on top I explained to him that sloppy joes are made with onions mixed with beef. And he eats spaghetti so what's wrong with tomatoes?
